Nurse Graduation Invitation

Recently, I had the opportunity to try a unique invitation, a nurse's graduation invitation! It was requested that I incorporate pink and blue into the mix and make it simple but elegant. I decided to try something different on Photoshop...something simple and elegant but also more geometric to give it an academic feel...

My favorite part of this project was the upper right hand corner because I felt aside from the uniformity of the design, the circle in the corner adds some playful uniqueness to it.

 

The envelopes are A7 in Candy Pink, back side 80lb. navy card stock with a pink border added with Photoshop printed on 65lb. Wausau paper, and topped with a diamond jewel sticker to make it pop.

Disney Stop Motion Save the Date Video

This was our first attempt at a stop motion video. I was very excited for it to be our save the date video as I saw a lot of save the date stop motion videos on youtube and just had to try our own version.

For the first part I simulated the background from Disney's "Steamboat Willie" (where we chose our background music from as well!) and incorporated the Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy Kubrick toys. With some paper and marker we were able to make the word bubbles. We had a lot of fun with this video. The rest of course was created in Disney World July 2012 <3

Disney Thank You Note DIY

It was really exciting to create the invitation for my Holiday Engagement Party with Disney accents (as our wedding theme is Disney!). With the after-holiday stress, it was nice to do some crafty work to relax and be creative ...I also really wanted to make use of my mickey die cutter as I was really excited to find it at Hobby Lobby when in NJ one day as NYC doesn't have one ...

I decided to do a winter-themed Disney thank you as I sent them out right after New Years and the party had been holiday themed! I started out with these supplies:

Using photoshop- I created the thank you note along with some wintry font and printed it on 67-pound white, matte cardstock:

I then used my thank you stamp along with blue Zing embossing powder, Top Boss embossing pad, and my Martha Stewart heating tool to emboss the top of my thank you note..It was a bit difficult as it created a curling effect at times but I tried heating both the top and bottom of the card to prevent the curling. While not perfect, I was excited to complete this project as it was the first time I tried embossing!

I also used my tag die-cutter to create tags with each guests name printed onto them in Disney font-this was the easier part-then simply used my puncher and some blue-white baker's twine to add it to the note.

They were a hit with the guests and I found making these thank you notes by hand was a better way of truly showing my thanks to family and friends for making our engagement party wonderful!
